PAULINE BARCLAY
Pauline Barclay
Born at the tail end of 1953 in Bradford, West Yorkshire, the eldest of four. At the end of 1968 we all moved to Suffolk. Many years later, with my husband, I went to live in Surrey, then Holland and now we live with our little dog on the beautiful island of Lanzarote in the Canary Isles.
Back in the mid eighties, I studied with the Open University and six years after losing my evening, nights and weekends to course work, I achieved a BA (hons) degree in 1992.
After graduating, I realised just how many extra hours I had in a day, even with my full time job, that I started writing. Back in those days, it was short stories, years later, I started to write full length novels.
Magnolia House is the first novel I have had published, but I hope to follow this with two further novels in the next year.
In the meantime, I hope you enjoy Magnolia House and the short story, End of Term. This short story is free for you to read on-line or to download.
Best wishes to you.
